WELCOME

The Registrar Office welcomes all the global community to Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University – a public university that laid the foundation of tertiary agricultural education of the nation. The Registrar Office is responsible for the supervision and management of all administrative and operational functions of the university. The Registrar Office supervises the processes for the admission, registration and enrollment of new students, articulation of transfer credits, graduation and certification of baccalaureate and associate degrees, enrollment and degree verification and commencement ceremonies. Besides, the registrar office keeps academic records of current and former students; facilitate student scholarship; builds secure student data files and sets policy and procedure for their responsible use. Here we ensures the integrity, accuracy and security of all administrative records of current and former faculties and staffs, facilitate regular administrative activities like recruitment, promotion, upgradation, leave, pension etc. We counsel students, faculty, and staff on academic and administrative matters and interpret and enforce policies and regulations of the University. The registrar office holds the syndicate and academic council meetings and a member of various other Councils and Committees.

Biography of Registrar

Sheikh Rezaul Karim joined as the Registrar of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University on 31st December, 2014. Before joining Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, he served as Deputy Registrar (25th September 2008 to 30th December 2014), Assistant Registrar (10th September 2007 to 24th September 2008) Of Jagannath University, Assistant Regional Director (15th June 1999 to 09th September 2007), In-Charge of Regional Director (15th June 1999 to 09th September 2007) & Administrative Officer (Store) (01st March 1995 to 14th June 1999) of Bangladesh Open University.

Sheikh Rezaul Karim was born in 25th November, 1968. He did his M.S.S (Master of Social Sciences) & B.S.S (Bachelor of Social Sciences with Honors) from University of Dhaka in 1990 & 1989 respectively. He started his career back in 1995 at Bangladesh Open University.

Mr. Sheikh Rezaul Karim obtained different trainings related to his career from local & foreign Institutions and Authorities. He completed course on ‘Store Management & Computerized Inventory Control’ by MDC, ‘Modern Office Management Course’ by Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre  (BPATC), ‘Modern Office Management Course’ by Bangladesh Institute of Administration & Management (BIAM), training program on ‘ICT Training for Government Officials Program’ conducted by Open University Malaysia & HB consultants Bangladesh & lastly did his foreign program named ‘Distance Education Administration’ by TELE University (University of Quebec) & SHEILA A. MURRAY, Education expert in Montreal  and Quebec.

Sheikh Rezaul Karim is also life time member of different Society & Association such as ‘Dhaka University Registered Graduate’, ‘Dhaka University Alumni Association’, ‘Dhaka University Sociology Alumni Association’, former General Secretary (2012-2014) and former President (2014-2015) of ‘Jagannath University Officers’ Association’. He is a President/Chairman of ‘Abul Basher Government Primary School’ (31st December 2014 to till date).
