Department of Dairy Science
Abdur Rahman (Rafy) is a Lecturer in the Department of Dairy Science at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU), Dhaka, Bangladesh. He holds an MS in Dairy Science and a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry from SAU and is a Member of the Bangladesh College of Veterinary Surgeons (MCVS). With experience as a Research Assistant at the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC), he is passionate about research and academia and is currently seeking a PhD opportunity in Dairy Science or a related field. Beyond academics, Rafy has held several leadership roles, including Regional Representative of Rotaract District 3281, President of the Rotaract Club of Dhaka Mid City Green, and leadership positions in the Bangladesh Biology Olympiad, Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC), Bangladesh Veterinary Students Federation, and SAU Entrepreneurship Development Club. His achievements include the Dean's Merit Award (2018, 2019), second prize in the National Food Safety Ambassador competition organized by the FAO and Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, and the National Science and Technology (NST) Fellowship (2022–23) from the Ministry of Science and Technology, Bangladesh.
