Professor
Department of Horticulture
Prof. Dr. Jasim Uddain is currently serving as the Pro-Vice Chancellor of Z.H. Sikder University of Science and Technology, Shariatpur, Bangladesh. He is on deputation from the Department of Horticulture at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, where he holds the position of Professor. Dr. Uddain obtained his Ph.D. from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and subsequently completed postdoctoral research in the field of agricultural sciences. His research focuses on sustainable Agriculture, safe agricultural production, crop management practices, protected cultivation, vegetable production and postharvest management, and environmentally friendly farming systems. Prof. Uddain has made substantial contributions to higher education, research, and institutional development over his academic and administrative career. In addition to actively participating in research collaborations, conferences, and academic leadership efforts, he has published a significant number of scientific articles in national and international journals. His work is devoted to advancing food safety, sustainable agriculture, and innovation in agricultural research and education for both domestic and international development.
