I am currently pursuing a PhD in the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences—Production, Landscape, Agroenergy (DiSAA) at Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy. My research focuses on plant proteomics and investigating protein-protein interactions, specifically to deepen our understanding of corn root physiology under nitrate feeding conditions. I currently also hold a permanent position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agronomy at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka-1207, Bangladesh. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Hons.) from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University in 2014, earning the Dean's Award for maintaining a CGPA above 3.8 for six consecutive semesters. In 2017, I also obtained my Master of Science in Agronomy from the same university. I conducted my master's thesis research on plant stress physiology at the Laboratory of Plant Stress Responses (LPSR) at Kagawa University, Japan, under a scholarship from the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO). To date, I have published and contributed to nearly 17 national and international research articles and 5 book chapters. Additionally, I have successfully completed several R&D research projects funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Bangladesh. In addition, to promote better science communication, I have been serving as a volunteer reviewer for several reputable journals since 2021. I have participated in three Nuffic-funded short courses organized by Wageningen University on potato seed sector development, plant genetic resources, and climate action for food system transformations, both locally and internationally (including Senegal). I have participated in approximately 15 national and international conferences in countries such as Bangladesh, India, Japan, and Italy, where I presented my research through both oral and poster presentations. In addition to my research, I hold active memberships in several scientific societies, including the Bangladesh Agronomy Society, Weed Science Society of Bangladesh, Ecological Society of Bangladesh, and the Global Network of Bangladeshi Biotechnologists, among others. In addition to crop science and plant stress physiology, my personal research interests encompass sustainable agriculture, regenerative farming, climate-resilient agriculture, smart farming, bioinformatics in agriculture, remote sensing technologies, QGIS and ArcGIS, green economy, sustainable food systems, and environmental pollution and degradation. These interests reflect my broader vision, which spans foundational agricultural practices, technological applications, and economic growth in the agricultural sector of Bangladesh. As an academician at a prominent public agricultural university, I am dedicated to promoting agriculture in various ways. My primary concern is to create quality agricultural graduates through effective teaching and motivation, as I believe they will be key to feeding the nation for decades to come. I am passionate about conducting high-quality research in agriculture and agronomy, focusing on innovation and the dissemination of new technologies to farmers. I strive to approach all situations in life with a positive attitude.
