Dr. Md. Abdul Masum is holding the post ‘Associate Professor’ in this department. Now, he is in deputation and has been working as JSPS postdoc fellow in Hokkaido University, Japan since September’ 2019. Dr. Masum has completed his D.V.M. (2008) and M.S. (2011) degree from University of Rajshahi and Bangladesh Agricultural University, Bangladesh, respectively. He has completed his PhD degree with MEXT (Japan Govt.) scholarship in 2019 from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Hokkaido University, Japan on ‘Renal Pathology’ in targeting to serve the objective of ‘One Health’. He was awarded research grant namely ‘Grant in Aid for Scientific Research’ from Hokkaido University, Japan for three consecutive years (2015-2017) during his doctoral research. Dr. Masum was also ‘Visiting Researcher’ at the School of Medicine, University of Indiana, USA in 2017. He has published several research articles in reputed medical journals. His research interests are kidney diseases, Immunology and Diabetes as well as identification of diagnostic markers for different human and animal diseases using molecular approaches.
