DR. Sujan Kumar Sarkar

DR. Sujan Kumar Sarkar is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anatomy, Histology & Physiology (ANHP) since February 9, 2021, and in the same department, he also spent a tenure successfully as Lecturer from December 27, 2018, to February 8, 2021.
He completed his bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B.Sc. Vet Sci. & A. H.) with compatible knowledge of both Animal Health and Management from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka. He secured outstanding academic & clinical competencies throughout his academic career. In addition to the extensive clinical internship, DR. Sujan received a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Avian Diseases from “École Nationale vétérinaire d'Alfort” (National Veterinary School of France) (held in SAU, Dhaka, Bangladesh) in 2017 in which he was one of the three top scorers and received the award of honor. DR. Sujan has gathered clinical expertise on pet animal practice including clinical restraining, diagnosis, treatment, and control of different diseases. He attended different varieties of cases with common & complicated clinical signs that enriched his knowledge towards the dexterity of pet animals’ treatment. He has also completed his master's program in Veterinary Anatomy under the ANHP department.
In the ANHP department, DR. Sujan is teaching basic veterinary science among the students of undergraduate level. Besides, he is engaged in different research projects regarding livestock, poultry, companion, and laboratory animals as well. He is also keenly interested to develop & expand his insight on various molecular techniques of basic veterinary science & biological research.
