His Excellency President and Chancellor of the University has appointed me as the Pro-Vice Chancellor of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU). I am proud and honored to welcome you to explore this University as a center of excellence in Bangladesh. Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University is established to ensure the agricultural development of Bangladesh by providing quality education, research and extension through generating smart graduates. Who are able to tackle both local and global challenges in agriculture. To grow more production, climate smart agricultural technology has no alternative that ensure food security, food safety and minimize environmental pollution by using harmful pesticides and fertilizers. This University maintains strong links with various reputed universities, higher educational and research organizations in national and international levels to conduct globally competitive research using frontier technologies, especially in agriculture sciences. Through the outreach activities of the University, the potential technologies have been transferred and disseminated to the farmer levels. These, in an integrated way, have raised the University to the level of a center of excellence in Agriculture.
