Professor Nazmoon Naher Tonu (PhD) I joined Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University in 2006 and have since become a pivotal figure in the academic community. With a specialization in plant pathology, molecular resistance, mycology, and bacteriology, I have significantly contributed to the advancement of agricultural sciences. Throughout my career, I have been recognized for my dedication and excellence in research. I have received several prestigious awards, including the Monbukagakusho Scholarship from the Japanese Government (2010) and the Asian Youth Fellowship Program (2009). These accolades highlight my commitment to academic excellence and international collaboration. I have also participated in various training programs to enhance my teaching and research skills. Notably, I have completed training on curriculum development and teaching-learning assessment, as well as specialized courses on seed technology and mushroom cultivation. With over 15 publications to my name, I have made substantial contributions to the field of plant pathology and beyond. My research projects have focused on innovative solutions for disease management in crops, which have had a significant impact on both local and international agricultural practices. As a dedicated educator and mentor, I continue to inspire the next generation of agricultural scientists. My work at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University not only enhances the institution’s academic reputation but also contributes to the sustainable development of agriculture in Bangladesh and beyond.
