Dr. Monoj Kumar Majumder working as an Associate professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics, at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh since June 2020. He also worked as a lecturer and assistant professor in the same department since December 2011. Dr. Monoj Kumar Majumder is currently working as a Temporary Research Assistant Professor on 25 March 2026 at the Department of Earth and Environment, Florida International University, USA.

Dr. Majumder completed his PhD from the University of Tasmania, Australia in June 2020. Dr. Majumder worked as the "Livestock Economist" from November 2021 to September 2024 at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). In addition, he has a lot of research experience in the wide areas of economics and publications in the high-impact factor journals. His research interests include agricultural economics, livestock economics, resource and environmental economics, technology adoption impacts, etc. Mr. Majumder has vast experience in both primary and secondary data analysis. He completed two baseline surveys in Bangladesh throughout the country under the FAO where different socioeconomic data were collected by the survey method with a structured questionnaire. He has also expertise in policy writing. He wrote the Livestock Extension Policy with the team and submitted it to the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock. His research interest is in the broad sectors of Economics. Dr. Majumder is interested in research collaboration with domestic and international institutions
