Md. Masud Rana is now an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fishing and Post Harvest Technology at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Mr. Rana has good research background on fish processing and fishery products development including value addition, safety and quality improvement of fish and fishery products. He has also substantial academic knowledge and research experience in biorefinery of fish waste, fish processing biochemistry, fisheries microbiology and industrial fisheries management, natural products chemistry. He interested to utilize his interdisciplinary academic knowledge and practical experience on post harvest activities of fish such as extraction of bioactive compounds, flavor compounds, enzymatic activities of fish muscle, functional properties of fish muscle, fish biochemistry, hygiene and safety of fish and fishery products, natural products chemistry and related field.
