Lecturer
Abdur Rahman (nickname: Rafy) is a Lecturer in the Department of Dairy Science, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He did his post-graduation in Dairy Science from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He completed Bachelor degree in the field of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University. He successfully passed MCVS from Bangladesh College of Veterinary Surgeons (BCVS). He is interested in research and academics. He worked as a research assistant in Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC) in a project. Currently, he is looking for a phd position in the field of dairy science or any other related field with his profession. He involved with some extracurricular activities. He was the Regional Representatives (RR) (2023-24) of Rotaract District 3281, Bangladesh, President (2021-22) of Rotaract Club of Dhaka Mid City Green, Media Secretary (2019-20) of Bangladesh Biology Olympiad, Campus Ambassador (2018) of Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC), ICT Secretary (2019-20) of Bangladesh Veterinary Students Federation, Head of Media (2018-20) of SAU Entrepreneurship Development Club (SAUEDC) and many other organizations. Rafy has excellent academic achievements. He received Dean's Merit Award in 2018 and 2019. He won 2nd prize in National Food Safety Ambassador organized by Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) of the United Nations and Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University. He received National Science and Technology (NST) Fellowship in 2022-23 from Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
