DR. Md. Shakil Islam is a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology under the Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He obtained Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Masters of Science in Pharmacology from Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU). His area of specialization is detection of antibiotic residue in edible tissue of livestock and poultry

Mr. Islam received National Science and Technology (NST) Fellowship in 2018 from Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.He received Presidential gold medal for outstanding result in MS in Pharmacology.Currently working on Antibiotic residue which is a major public Health concern nowadays.
