DR. Md. Akib Zabed has joined as a lecturer in the Department of Medicine and Public Health under the Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka-1207, Bangladesh, since December 2023. He completed his five-year graduation course under the Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine in December 2018 at SAU. Also, he completed his MS in the Department of Medicine and Public Health in June 2021 from the same university. He has a third merit position in undergrad and a first merit position in masters. During his bachelor's study, he was honored with the Dean's Award at level 5. Moreover, he has achieved the National Science and Technology Fellowship, which is a prestigious fellowship granted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Bangladesh. Besides that, he has attended many training sessions and workshops and worked on various survey projects. He conducts the following undergraduate courses: 1. Pet Animal Medicine 2. Clinical Medicine 3. Zoonoses and Public Health 4. Zoo, Lab, Wild & Aquatic Animal Medicine 5. Farm Animal Medicine 6. Forensic Medicine, Jurisprudence and Ethics. Research Interest: Public Health, Food Safety, One Health, Zoonotic Microbiology, Pet Animal Disease, AMR etc.
