Dr. Sayla Khandoker is an "Assistant Professor" at the Department of Agricultural Economics, Faculty of Agribusiness Management, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU), Dhaka, Bangladesh. Dr.Khandoker completed her PhD in Agricultural Economics at the ICAR-Indian Agricultural Researchj Institute (IARI), New Delhi, India.  Her area of specialization in PhD is Agricultural Development and Policy. Before joining SAU, Dr. Khandoker worked at Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) under the Department of Agricultural Economics as a ‘Scientific Officer’. She has worked BARI from 10 January 2011 to 18 December 2023. So far, Dr. Khandoker has published more than 22 journal articles and 2 book chapters. 

Currently working on a project titled "A farm household study on the adoption and impact of biogas production in Bangladesh: Prism of gender" which is funded by SAURES.

Dr. Khandoker's research focus includes, but is not limited to, agricultural policy and development, impact assessment, Renewable energy policy, agriculture, gender and nutrition linkages, climate change adaptation, climate change policy, SDGs, food security, dietary diversity,  development interventions etc.

Specialization: Econometric modelling with panel data and cross sectional data ,Financial and economic cost-benefit analysis, impact evaluation of policy intervention using quasi experimental approach and review report writing.
