Professor Mohummed Shofi Ullah Mazumder’s academic career in Bangladesh spans more than two decades, initially as a lecturer at the Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) and then join as a part-time academic in Sher-e- Bangla Agricultural University (SAU) in 2004, and more importantly, since 2006 is working as a full-time academic in best-known SAU under the department of Agricultural Extension & Information System. Professor Mazumder has sustained an active research agenda in development studies and environment focusing on agriculture. Professor Mazumder has published publications all five top journals in the field of development studies and climate change: World Development, Sustainable Development, The European Journal of Development Research, Climate Policy and Food Security. His other publication outlets include internationally reputed journals: Prague Economic Papers and African Journal of Agricultural Research. His research has added new dimensions to measurement of impact involving panel data and considering control group by using quasi-experimental survey design. To date, he has authored/co-authored (edited) (a) more than 50 refereed national journal articles; (b) one book with leading international publishers. Additionally, Top-level journals in the field invite him to review papers on a regular basis. Dr Mazumder has taught both core and specialist areas at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including Agricultural Extension Education (undergrad program), Motivation (undergrad program), Extension Administration, Supervision and Management (MS program), Research Methodology in Social Sciences (MS program), Extension Administration and Training Management (PhD program), Advanced Social Research Methodology (PhD program). Professor Mazumder successfully supervising one PhD student as principal advisor, and Five students as associate advisor. In addition, he has successfully supervised more than 40 theses master (MS) students in a range of research areas including differing socio-economic contexts.
