Dr. Thahamina Bagum is a professor at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University with notable achievements including the Prime Minister Gold Medal in 2006 and the OWSD Postgraduate Fellowship in 2015. She holds a doctoral degree in Agricultural Extension from Universiti Putra Malaysia. She completed M.S in Agricultural Extension in 2007 and her B.Sc. Ag. (Hons) in 2003 from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University. She has worked at the university since the beginning of her career, progressing from a Lecturer to a full Professor in the Department of Agricultural Extension & Information System. Dr. Bagum has significantly contributed to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate studies, supervising students’ research work, and outreach activities. Her research concentrates on resource management, agricultural technology adaptation & diffusion, the impact of climate change on rural livelihoods, poverty & rural development, women's empowerment and communication behavior. Throughout her career, she has published in national and international journals and participated in numerous international training, conferences and workshops, contributing to the advancement of agricultural knowledge and practice.
