Kh. Zulfikar Hossain is a Professor at the Agricultural Extension and Information System department of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Bangladesh, of which he has been part since 2010. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Hons.) and Master of Science in Agricultural Extension degrees from the same university. He completed his PhD in Agricultural and Forestry Economic Management at Northwest A&F University, China. Before join to the Department, he worked in Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation as an Assistant Director. His academic interest includes project or program planning, monitoring and evaluation, psychology of human behavior, technology transfer, while his research interest includes food safety and quality, food economics, food marketing, climate change, farmers' communication behavior, technology adoption.
